🏆 School Record: Kent Olsson, 500 Freestyle

Congratulations, Kent Olsson!

At the Canyon del Oro Classic on Sep 19, 2026, Kent Olsson swam the 500 Freestyle in 5:03.13 — and broke two Tanque Verde records in the same swim.

The open school record he took down — 5:04.10, set by Joseph Breinholt on Oct 24, 2015 — was the oldest record on the Tanque Verde boys books. It had stood longer than any other boys school record, individual or relay. The next-oldest still standing is the 50 Freestyle — 21.99, Nicholas Cusson, Oct 23, 2021.

🏆 Open school record

5:03.13  −0.97s

Previous: 5:04.10 — Joseph Breinholt

🥈 Sophomore class record

He already owned the Freshman 500 Freestyle record — 5:07.85, set at the 2025 D-3 AIA State Championship on Nov 08, 2025. As a sophomore, he now holds the Freshman record, the Sophomore record and the Open record in the same event. See the all-time records and the boys records by grade.
